Opening is planned for April 2025. The mall is located on a prime site at the intersection of provincial road P447 and national route R22 in the CBD, a gateway to Sodwana Bay and many other tourist destinations. Mbazwana is experiencing immense growth – from both private and public sectors, with government departments including Home Affairs, Social Development (regional office), Education, Environmental Affairs and many others located within 500 meters from the mall site. An 85-bed private hospital has been approved and licensed to be constructed within walking distance from the new mall. Mbazwana serves a community that includes over 50 schools, more than 10 health clinics and a hospital all within a 20 min drive.
The development of the new shopping mall will make Mbazwana an attractive town and the need for a fully-fledged financial institution will become a necessity. Raw data shows the Mbazwana economy turn over to be more than R40 million a month with its current limited shopping facilities.
